Homecare Nurse
Our Homecare Nurse delivers direct nursing care, provides continuous care and assessment, and changes the plan of care as needed. Our Homecare Nurse works Tuesday-Thursday, business hours. Call to inquire if needing any of the following services:

Community Health Nurse
Our Community Health Nurse supports the community with medical care, support and consultation. The Community Health Nurse works on Mondays, Tuesdays Fridays, during regular business hours. Book an appointment or call for any services that you may need listed below:

Island Health Support
Island Health supports with Medical Services such as providing a Doctor and Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Rebecca Howse, along with her resident, will be in Langford every other Tuesday and Dr. Troy McLeod will be at Huli’tun every other Friday. Our Nurse Practitioner, Valerie Jefferd, is here every Wednesday.

Services are available through Island Health based on assessment and availability. Please inquire with our nurses if you or someone is needing services and we can assist with the referral.

Many families were deeply affected by the government's residential school policy. Children were taken from their homes and sent to residential schools, where some experienced violence and abuse and many others lost their language and connection to their traditions, culture and community.
The Huli'tun Health Society offers counselling for people who have experienced any type of mental health problems that arise from a history of violence or other forms of abuse, trauma, discrimination and oppression, grief, and losses.

FAMILY WELLNESS WORKER AND OUTREACH
We are actively recruiting a counsellor to provide referral services to individuals and families (individually and/or small groups) who have concerns with alcohol and/or drug misuse. They will promote positive choices as well as tools to identify, understand and overcome problems leading to and arising from substance misuse.

Dental Services
Huli'tun Health Society provides Tooth Brushes, Tooth Paste and Floss to Lyackson First Nation and Halalt First Nation members on a needed basis. If you need support with these supplies please stop by to pick them up or make arrangements with the Community Health Representatives or Receptionist.
Services include coordinating with First Nation Health authority for Dental Therapist and or Children's Oral Hygiene Initative. If you would like an appointment please call our office at 250-246-2127 to make arrangements.
