Cultural Wisdom
The culture of the Coast Salish people has historically been shared through stories, group settings and one on one conversations. Coast Salish learning has never been documented or recorded as most teachings are sacred.
Huli'tun Health Society has provided services to its respective communities since 1994, and through that time Huli'tun Health Society has always tried to incorporate Culture.
Currently, Huli'tun Health Society is offering "Tea Time" which allows for history to be shared and viewed as a parallel to modern society. Throughout the year Huli'tun incorporates other cultural opportunities such as Traditional Medicine, Hulqumi'num Pinko (BINGO), beading, knitting, weaving of cedar and wool, carving, and much more.
Huli'tun Health Society also has a page on this website called Knowledge Keepers. Please look at this page for monthly updates as information will be shared. Knowledge sharing requires approval by facilitators, therefore some information may not be documented.
